Dynamic Digital Signage encompasses the fields better known as Point-of-Information, Point-of-Sale and Point-of-Waiting and is in the process of replacing paper posters and printed information. It has been around for quite some time as Visitor Information Systems in government buildings or Guest Information Panels in hotel lobbies and is now spreading out into retail stores and waiting rooms. It is establishing itself as a visual medium and is becoming very popular for various reasons.
It is not only a lot cheaper over time to set up a network of screens and to feed regular promotional updates to them as opposed to printing, posting and placing posters, it is also a lot more effective to do so because the content is DYNAMIC! Thanks to extra colour, movement and creative imaging the screens will be more attractive to passers-by and their attention will dwell longer on them.
